Privacy Policy

How LinkSprout and BioFlow collect, use and protect your information. Plain language, no surprises.

Who we are

LinkSprout (linksprout.io) is an educational site about link in bio tools and click tracking. It is operated by the team that builds BioFlow, the link in bio software offered on this site. This policy covers both the LinkSprout website and the BioFlow application at linksprout.io/app.

What we collect on the LinkSprout website

When you request the free playbook, we collect your first name and email address. We use them for one purpose: to send you the Bio Link Tracking Playbook and related follow-up emails about bio link tracking and BioFlow. We use AWeber to manage and deliver these emails.

When you browse, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as the pages requested and the time of the request) for security and troubleshooting. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

What we collect in the BioFlow application

Account information: your name, email address and a password stored as a secure hash. If you choose "keep me logged in", a token is stored in your browser and on our server so you do not have to log in again on that device. You can sign out all remembered devices from your Account page at any time.

Your content: the pages, blocks, links, channel links, images and leads you create in your workspace. This content belongs to you. Leads submitted through your bio page forms are stored in your workspace so you can follow up with them.

Tracking data for your bio page: when a visitor opens one of your pages, BioFlow records the visit with its traffic source, campaign, device type, browser language and, when the hosting provider supplies it, the country. It also records clicks on your blocks and, when you connect them, leads, bookings and sales. IP addresses are not stored. These numbers are shown only to you and the members of your workspace.

Cookies

The LinkSprout website sets no cookies of its own beyond those strictly needed for the opt-in form to work.

BioFlow bio pages ask visitors for consent before setting a cookie. If the visitor accepts, a single cookie (bf_vid) allows BioFlow to recognize a repeat visit to that page for up to one year, and a second cookie (bf_consent) remembers the choice. If the visitor declines, no identifying cookie is set; the visit and clicks are still counted without identifying the person. Page owners can turn the consent request off, in which case the visitor cookie is set without a prompt; the page owner is responsible for making sure that setting fits the law where their audience lives.

The BioFlow application uses a session cookie to keep you logged in while you work, and an optional remember-me cookie if you ask to stay logged in.

How we use information

To deliver the playbook and related emails you asked for. To operate the BioFlow application and show you your own statistics. To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems. We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use your leads or your visitors' data for our own marketing.

Third parties

AWeber delivers the emails from the LinkSprout website and holds the name and email address you submit. Our hosting provider stores the website and the BioFlow database. If you connect BioFlow to other services through its API or webhooks (for example Zapier, Stripe or a calendar tool), the data you choose to send goes to those services under their own policies.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and sign up, the other company may know you came from LinkSprout and we may earn a commission. This does not change the price you pay.

Your choices

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. To have your name and email removed from our list, or to ask about any data we hold, reply to any email you have received from us and we will take care of it. BioFlow users can delete leads, pages and workspaces from inside the application; to close an account entirely, reply to any BioFlow email and ask.

Children

This site and the BioFlow application are not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will post the new version on this page and, for BioFlow account holders, mention it by email.
